RFP

The process of doing our RFP proposal was a great learning experience. I learned that price was not the number one determining factor for computer purchases in Johnson City. Our number one and two priorities are standardization and warranty and repair. I learned that Johnson City Schools also piggybacks on a contract that Wilson County has with Dell Computers and piggybacks with the University of Tenn. for LCD projectors. It was a long process. We spent several hours talking with Haris Balcinovic, one of our tech support personal and several emails going back and forth. Jessica, Laura and I spent several hours working on this project.

Upon completing it, we sent our RFP to Haris Balcinovic and Dr. Roger Walk (our Principal) for review. Both thought it looked very good. I have a newfound respect for Melony Higgins, our Director of Technology and all she has to carry.

I have really learned a lot from this assignment and have a greater appreciation for all the hard work our tech staff does.

Final Project

I have requested the cost of a site license for PLATO and have 3 different bids on a notebook mobile tech lab cart . I will see you all this afternoon!
